Moving is a lot for a little kid
Packing up their room, leaving friends and starting somewhere new can make kids feel sad, worried or upset, sometimes all at once. Kids do best when they feel included and know what's coming.
How the story works
Choose Moving to a new home as the villain. The hero faces the scary parts of a big change and uses their superpower to find the good in the new place. You can add your new hometown in the order form so the story happens where they'll actually live.
Ways to use it during a move
- Read it before the moving truck comes so they know the story ends well.
- Pack it in their "first night" box with pajamas and a favorite toy, so it's the first thing they read in the new room.
- Let them be the hero of setup day. Give them a job, like choosing where their bed goes.
Moving with more than one kid? The Hero Team Book makes the whole crew heroes in one story.
