The secret ingredient
Their real fear becomes the villain. And they win.
Every book is built around something your kid is working on being brave about. They read about themselves being scared, doing it anyway, and saving the day. Then they ask you to read it again.
Every book is made one at a time, so plan ahead for the holidays. Cutting it close? Gift cards are emailed instantly.

Questions
Good questions, quick answers
How personal is it, really?
Very. We use their name, age, look, pet, interests, hometown details and the thing they're brave about to write and illustrate a story that only works for them. No two books are the same.
What photos do you need?
One to three clear photos of your child's face in good light. Add their pet or sidekick if you'd like them in the book too. Just reply to your order confirmation email with the photos.
What if I want something changed?
You'll get a full proof of the book within 48 hours of your photos. Reply with any changes and we'll fix them. Nothing is printed until you say "Approved."
How long does the hardcover take?
After you approve the proof, hardcovers are printed and shipped in about 7 to 12 business days. For Christmas, order by December 8.
What ages is it for?
It's written for kids about 2 to 10. We adjust the story to their age, so a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old get different reading levels.
I have more than one kid. What are my options?
Give each kid their own book and save 15% on 2 books or 20% on 3 or more, automatically at checkout. Or put 2 to 4 kids together in one Hero Team Book.
Can I order one for a grandchild, niece or nephew?
Absolutely. Fill in the details for the child it's for, or give a Hero Book Gift Card and let the parents fill in the details and send photos.
Every hero has an origin story. Let's write theirs.
Five minutes from you. A book they'll ask for every night.
